(Onsite)\nTerms: Full-time\nSalary: 100,000 - 130,000 DOE\nClearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility\nTravel: <10%\nPosition Description\nWe have an exciting full time opportunity for a System Administrator to join our growing team! System Administrators are responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of an organization's computer systems. They ensure the smooth operation of mission critical IT infrastructure and provide technical support to end-users. This role requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. \nResponsibilities:\nSystem Configuration and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software patches. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.\nSecurity Management: Implement security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other cyber threats. Conduct regular security audits and apply patches and updates as needed.\nHelpdesk Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up user accounts, and resolving connectivity issues.\nBackup and Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data integrity and minimize downtime. Test backup systems regularly to ensure reliability.\nDocumentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security.\nAutomation and Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline system administration processes. Implement automation tools and scripts to improve efficiency.\nCollaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support organizational goals and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.\n Required:\n Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access required.\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.\n5 years of experience in IT support, system administration or a related role.\nSecurity+ Certification.\nWillingness and ability to flex between 1st and 2nd shift (6am to 2pm Eastern OR 2pm to 10pm Eastern)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.\nExperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.\nFamiliarity with networking concepts and protocols.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.\nPlease note physical requirements:\nThis onsite role requires a mix of help desk, deskside, and VIP support in a secure federal environment. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
