Software & System Integration\nSupport integration of software with hardware, firmware, and instrument components.\nDevelop and test basic device-control and instrument workflow functionality.\nSupport troubleshooting of communication between software components and instruments.\nAssist engineers in implementing and testing software features. API & Communication\nWork with basic REST APIs and service interfaces.\nGain practical experience with: o HTTP o JSON o REST o WebSocket o TCP/IP\nSupport development and testing of software-to-software and software-to-device communication. Linux & Embedded Systems\nWork in Linux and embedded Linux environments.\nGain hands-on experience with SSH, processes, services, logs, networking, and system configuration.\nSupport software deployment and configuration on embedded platforms such as Raspberry Pi.\nAssist in troubleshooting Linux and system-level issues. Testing & Automation\nDevelop and execute unit, integration, and functional tests.\nSupport automated testing and regression testing activities.\nCreate Python-based test scripts and utilities.\nAnalyse test results and document failures.\nWork with SQA engineers to reproduce, investigate, and track software defects. Debugging & Troubleshooting\nAnalyse application logs, exceptions, and test failures.\nAssist in identifying root causes of software issues.\nReproduce software and system-level defects.\nSupport engineers in troubleshooting hardware/software interface issues. Data Processing\nWork with basic Python libraries such as: o NumPy o Pandas o Matplotlib\nSupport data processing, analysis, visualization, and engineering test activities. Git & Software Development Practices\nLearn and use Git-based development workflows.\nWork with branches, commits, pull requests, and code reviews.\nFollow software development standards and documentation practices.\nGain exposure to CI/CD, automated builds, dependency management, and software release processes. Documentation & Collaboration\nDocument software changes, test results, issues, and troubleshooting steps.\nParticipate in code reviews and technical discussions.\nWork closely with Software, Firmware, Systems, and SQA teams.\nLearn engineering processes used for development and verification of scientific instruments. Must-Have Skills\nBachelor’s degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.\nGood programming knowledge in Python.\nBasic understanding of object-oriented programming.\nBasic understanding of software development and debugging.\nGood problem-solving and analytical skills.\nBasic knowledge of Linux.\nBasic understanding of Git.\nBasic understanding of HTTP, JSON, and APIs.\nWillingness to work on both software and hardware/software integration.\nGood communication and documentation skills.\nStrong willingness to learn and work on real engineering problems.
