As a Tax Transformation Manager, you'll modernize tax processes, strengthen controls, and improve the accuracy of tax reporting. You'll help drive AI-enabled approaches to tax operations, support enterprise transformation initiatives, and play a role in an ERP implementation from SAP to S/4HANA. This role requires a combination of tax technical knowledge, process improvement expertise, project management capabilities, and technology acumen to help shape the future of the tax function.\nThis is a hybrid opportunity with an on-site work schedule Tuesday to Thursday at our headquarters in Waltham, MA.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDrive the planning and execution of tax transformation initiatives, including process improvement, technology implementation, stakeholder engagement, timeline management, and tracking of key deliverables.\nSupport the SAP to S/4HANA ERP implementation by translating tax technical, reporting, and compliance requirements into business requirements, process designs, data specifications, controls, and technology-enabled solutions.\nAssess the impact of new and evolving tax laws, regulatory reporting requirements, and emerging tax technology trends, and help design practical process, data, control, and system solutions to support compliance and operational readiness.\nIdentify and implement opportunities to streamline manual tax processes through automation, analytics, AI, and improved system integration across all areas of tax.\nDevelop and maintain tax process documentation, workflows, control frameworks, and standard operating procedures to support scalable and audit-ready tax operations.\nPartner with Tax, Finance, Accounting, IT, and other stakeholders to implement technology solutions, support change management, and drive adoption of new tools and processes.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Information Systems, or related field. AND\nA minimum of 8 years of tax experience including tax compliance, provision, and reporting.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong understanding of reporting processes, including how data quality and controls impact outcomes.\nExperience managing projects, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering results on schedule.\nDemonstrated ability to translate business and tax requirements into technology and reporting solutions.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.\nMBA, MST, and/or CPA strongly preferred.\nExperience in a multinational corporation and/or Big 4 public accounting environment.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills.\nExperience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, HFM, Smart View/AFO, and OneSource Tax Provision preferred.\nFamiliarity with Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, Excel macros, or similar analytics and automation tools.\nExperience leveraging AI, GenAI, or Copilot technologies within tax, finance, or accounting processes.\nThe base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000.00 - $130,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
