This position will ensure our products are produced on time for distribution. Applicant should be well-versed in production procedures, well organized, and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role.\n Essential Functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nCreate Production orders in the ERP system.\nProduction Order Follow-up for on time delivery of production requirements.\nPrioritize and Expedite Production Orders\nMonitor Material Sell-by and Expiration Dating\nReview and schedule product replenishments to meet the master production schedule and satisfy manufacturing production targets.\nProficiency with performing strategic inventory calculations to optimize production capacity and inventory levels.\nWork independently to review and manage assigned lab(s) production schedule/ plan for production including demand, capacity, and material availability.\nMonitor inventory levels in ERP system to ensure that inventories are well stocked and all products are updated.\nReview ERP Reorder messages and/or MRP suggestions and take appropriate actions\nRequest material transfers when material is available\nCommunicate timely responses to company departments/divisions in relation to; emails, ETA requests, scheduling, work order information requests.\nRecommend material for disposition(s) based on “Sell-by” dating and or “Expiration” dates.\nCoordinate production schedule with production departments.\nRelease Work Orders based on demand, material availability and work center capacity.\nWork Closely with Production, QC, Customer Service and Procurement groups to coordinate material and resource requirements for the production plan.\nReview ERP Reorder Point messages and/or MRP suggestions and take appropriate actions\nOptimize material stocking levels for sell-by and expiration dates and take appropriate actions (retest, extend, use up) to minimize obsolescence/scrap.\nDetermine MRP system settings to support product inventory targets and strategies.\nPropose alternate activities to resolve Backorders.\nAnalyze, update and maintain complex spreadsheets. Generate reports and metrics.\nCreate and maintain documentation (SOP’s, Forms, Checklists) to ensure all processes are documented\nEnsures compliance with company and department policies, procedures, checklists.\nCreate KPI metrics for planning and manufacturing analysis.\nTrack KPI metrics for reporting to planning team.\nPerforms other duties as assigned/required.\nManage special projects or responsibilities as may be required.\niACT Competencies\ninnovate - Be better, keep improving, be more efficient, creative, and be in the forefront of development\nAspire - Have desire, purpose, and ambition challenging ourselves to push the limits and reach new heights\nCollaborate - Foster teamwork, common goals, selflessness, communication and mutual support\nTransform - Adapt, learn, re-invent and change for future development and growth.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBA in the areas of: Business Administration, Science, Operations Supply Chain or Business field.\n4 - 6 years Production Planning experience.\n2 years of experience in an ISO13485 environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior production planning experience utilizing ERP/MRP Systems\nPrior experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV\nPrior experience handling multiple product lines with high volume and high mix of SKU’s\nAbility to multi-task, work at a fast pace and handle a high-volume workload.\nPrior experience managing products with expiration dating\nFamiliar with ISO or GMP regulatory compliance requirements\nPrior experience in life science, biotechnology industry or process manufacturing industry Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, JIT, Kanban concepts\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The pay offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
