Apply today!\nAbout the role\nThe Auxiliary Engineer supports the safe and efficient operation of plant systems and equipment under the general supervision of the Shift Supervisor and direction of the Control Room Operator. Responsibilities include monitoring, inspecting, and operating equipment such as fans, pumps, the baghouse, and the wastewater treatment system, in accordance with established plant procedures.\nKey duties include:\nPerforming regular equipment inspections and data logging\nReporting abnormalities or potential issues and responding to them as directed\nTaking independent action when necessary to protect equipment and ensure personnel safety\nSupporting emergency operations when needed\nThe Auxiliary Engineer may also be assigned to operate the refuse crane, responsible for mixing waste in the pit and maintaining proper feed levels in boiler hoppers.\nQualifications:\nPrior experience operating heavy industrial machinery or strong mechanical aptitude\nFormal technical or apprenticeship training preferred\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nAbility to read and interpret operational, safety, and training materials\nPhysically capable of working in an industrial environment (mobility, vision, hearing)\nMust be able to respond appropriately in emergency situations\nThis is a hands-on role in a dynamic environment that requires attentiveness, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.\nAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.\nPlease note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.\nPay Transparency\nThis role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
