Apply today!\nAbout the role\nAs an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld’s industrial disposal process.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nOperate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, systems include, but are not exclusively limited to boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment\nMonitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices\nRead and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations\nMonitor air pollution control equipment\nPerform various types of material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required\nSafely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, such as: cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts\nResponsible to maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operations equipment, and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and areas of operations\nAdditional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations\nPosition Requirements & Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nA minimum of 2-3 years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment\nMust possess or be able to quickly obtain MA 1C/2C Hoisting License (refer to state of MA for license requirements)\nMust have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule\n2nd MA Fireman license or higher preferred\nPhysical Demands of the Role\nAbility to walk, stand, sit, and climb\nAbility to lift/carry 50lbs\nAbility to work from heights and in confined spaces\nQualify to wear a full-face respirator \nConsistently work in various weather conditions\nAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.\nPlease note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.\nPay Transparency\nThis role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
