Apply today!\nAbout the role\nThe CDL Driver II Class A is responsible for the safe transportation and pumping of hazardous petroleum based materials within a local operating area. This role supports customer and facility needs through tanker operations, material transfers, and compliance driven hauling. Drivers operate Manual transmission equipment and work a home daily schedule.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nSafely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport and pump hazardous petroleum contact oil, hazardous waste, flammable materials, and diesel in compliance with DOT regulations and company procedures\n\nOperate PTO driven pumping equipment including stingers, hoses, and transfer pumps to load, unload, and move material between facilities and customer sites\n\nSlip seat between available units and operate different vehicles as needed throughout the shift\n\nPerform thorough pre trip and post trip inspections on vehicles, pumps, hoses, and related equipment\n\nMonitor driving behavior and compliance through onboard systems including Samsara\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\nComplete required transportation and compliance documentation including manifests, logs, and inspection reports\n\nEnsure vehicles are properly placarded for hazardous materials at all times\n\nCommunicate clearly with dispatch, operations, and customers regarding route instructions, job status, and delays\n\nFollow written and verbal route directions and adjust based on site and client needs\n\nMaintain safe work practices to protect employees, customers, and the public\n\nPerform other duties as assigned in support of operations\n\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum age 21\n\nValid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements\n\nStrong tanker experience with hazardous or fuel related materials\n\nPreferred 3 to 5 years of CDL A experience operating tankers, including driving in various weather conditions\n\nAcceptable driving record\n\nAbility to work a local home daily schedule with potential weekend availability\n\nManual transmission experience strongly preferred, exceptional automatic only drivers considered\n\nSchedule and Location\nHome daily local position based out of the Hodgkins facility\n\nTypical start time between 5 to 6 AM\n\nShifts generally run 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work\n\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to walk, stand, sit, and climb throughout the workday\n\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds\n\nAbility to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments\n\nAbility to safely operate pumping and transfer equipment\n\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage\n\nHealth savings and flexible spending account options\n\nRetirement savings plan\n\nPaid time off and company holidays\n\nEmployee assistance programs\n\nCompany-provided safety training and development opportunities\n\nIn addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits.
