Apply today!\nAbout the role\nThe CDL Driver II will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and client sites. Drivers will operate a variety of manual and automatic transmission equipment including tankers, roll off trucks, end dumps, walking floor trailers, and vans. Drivers may perform multiple equipment types in a single day.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDrive commercial vehicles to safely transport goods and materials according to DOT regulations and scheduled appointments.\nOperate trucks and specialized equipment including pumps, wet kits, vac kits, PTO pumps when required.\nPerform pre and post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nComplete administrative tasks and paperwork tied to hazardous and non-hazardous transport including manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking, logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, and incident reports.\nEnsure vehicle placarding meets all DOT requirements.\nMaintain clear communication with dispatch, customers, and other drivers.\nSafely operate vehicles and uphold safety standards for self, coworkers, clients, and the public.\nInterpret maps and follow written and verbal delivery directions.\nComplete additional assigned duties.\nRequired Qualifications\nMust be 21 years or older.\nCDL Class A required.\nHazmat is preferred but not required.\nMinimum 2+ years CDL driving experience.\nAcceptable driving record.\nHome daily / regional work as assigned (within a 5-hour window of Asheboro).\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\nExperience with roll offs, end dumps, walking floor trailers, or landfill/waste operations.\nMechanical aptitude.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to walk, stand, sit, climb, and work from heights or confined spaces.\nAbility to grab, grip, reach, push, pull, and lift/carry 50 lbs.\nAbility to work in various weather conditions.\nVisual and hearing ability required.\nSchedule & Routes\nTypical start time of 1-2 AM\nTypical shifts 11-12 hours.\nRoutes primarily Asheboro to Lorton, VA.\nDriving generally within a 5-hour radius (NC, VA, Tennessee).\nMostly home daily; rare overnight trips.\nCompensation & Perks\nPer diem for overnight trips.\nHealth benefits available.\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage\nHealth savings and flexible spending account options\nRetirement savings plan\nPaid time off and company holidays\nEmployee assistance programs\nCompany-provided safety training and development opportunities\nAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.\nPlease note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.\nPay Transparency\nReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
