Apply today!\nAbout the role\nAs a Control Room Operator, you will execute the approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures to assure that the facility meets it's operational, environmental, and safety commitments while operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nProvide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation\nEffectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations\nExperienced in reading blueprints, P&ID’s, and schematic specifications\nManage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion at times during emergency, providing clear directions in operational, safety and environmental tasks\nRespond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action\nDemonstrate solid understanding of operational best practices, including the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that supports Covanta’s safety and operational goals\nPosition Requirements & Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nSuccessful completion of ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam required within the first year of holding the position\nMust be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.\nTotal Rewards & Compensation:\nCompetitive Base Salary\nDay one employee benefits: competitive health insurance options, PTO, retirement savings plan and 401K match\nPhysical Demands of the Role:\nAbility to walk, stand, sit, and climb\nAbility to lift/carry 50lbs\nAbility to work from heights and in confined spaces\nQualify to wear a full-face respirator \nConsistently work in various weather conditions\nAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.\nPlease note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.\nPay Transparency\nReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
