Apply today!\nAbout the role\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Environmental Specialist will be the primary responsible individual for ensuring environmental regulatory compliance at the Reworld Lake Resource Recovery Facility, in Okahumpka, FL and Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility, in Spring Hill, FL.\nIndividual should be well versed with Title V Air permit regulations, and the enforcement of permit conditions on a day-to-day and long-term basis. In addition, the position is the primary environmental contact between client-owner (for Pasco County) and FDEP regulators and should be knowledgeable of general facility environmental operations. Knowledge of air pollution control system operations and Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems is a plus. The Environmental Specialist is the facility representative on all compliance testing and reporting.\nThe Environmental Specialist supports facility management personnel in the continued operation of the facility in compliance with all regulatory procedures, including federal and state environmental regulations, production schedules, output requirements and contractual obligations.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nUnder limited supervision, the Environmental Specialist supports the company and corporate programs and administering policies and procedures developed to prevent, eliminate, control and reduce work-related hazards and maintain environmental responsibility. Reporting to the Facility Manager, and supported by the Regional Environmental Manager, the Environmental Specialist duties will include:\nEXPERIENCE IN WASTE to ENERGY a PLUS!!!!!\nPrepare all reports for federal, state and local regulatory bodies\nAnalyzing CEMS emissions data and writing technical notification reports.\nMaintaining PSD and Title V operating requirements, and completing all associated Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual emission reports.\nEPA and DOE report preparation and submittals including GHG and EIA Reporting\nLiaison with client-owner and/or environmental regulators for audits and inspections.\nPresentations to staff, visitors, the client/owner and regulators\nMaintain Reworld internal reporting standards (Environmental Management Information System, root cause analysis reports, environmental key performance indicators, weekly walkdown inspection reports, etc.)\nProactively work with operators to resolve and prevent environmental issues, developing facility environmental procedures and training.\nDeliver and complete environmental projects.\nMaintenance of key environmental records and documents\nActively participate in environmental associations and community engagement\nCoordinate with facility/contractors to complete permit required activities: Annual Stack Testing, Quarterly CEMS Audits, Quarterly GHG Audits, residue testing, etc.\nMaintain strong working relationship with client-owner environmental department.\nAssists vendors or contractors when addressing environmental systems, i.e. cylinder gas audits, annual performance tests, ash sampling, stormwater, etc.\nFunctions as a proficient environmental/regulatory specialist working within the limits of environmental permitting and compliance issues for Company operations.\nProvides technical assistance to facility operations to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and/or company environmental regulations.\nAuditing of facilities such as profiled waste generators, APHIS generators, metal recyclers, and landfills\nExtensive support to Lake Facility site QA/QC profiled waste program\nAssist with environmental duties at other facilities throughout the region, as needed\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelors degree in engineering, environmental science, or equivalent and a minimum or 3-5 years experience in the environmental field; preferably the air (or solid waste) field.\nA working knowledge of FL and federal environmental regulations in air required (waste and water is a plus).\nMust have strong written and oral communications skills and demonstrate ability to work creatively within the regulatory framework.\nStrong computer, technical, and writing skills are needed.\nMust be able to speak, read and write in English.\nIn addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits.
