Apply today!\nAbout the role\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nUnder the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor and general supervision of the Operations Manager for is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of mobile equipment (i.e. excavator, front loader) for sorting of metals and loading pre-combustion materials.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperates mobile equipment in movement and sorting of metals, maintaining a steady flow of the process operations.\nRemoves wood products from recovered metals\nLoads pre-combustion waste into trucks\nPerforms daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures.\nPerforms troubleshooting on equipment and reports all malfunctioning equipment through the issuance of work orders.\nPerforms checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check list, etc.\nMaintains proper fuel, lubricant and oil levels for operation of assigned equipment.\nPerforms lockout and tag-out of equipment in support of maintenance activities.\nMaintains cleanliness of equipment and an orderly work area.\nPerforms additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor, or his or her designee.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:\nMust have a minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy equipment (i.e. excavator, front loader).\nNew hires with previous experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment will be allowed a three-month period for completion of the job demonstration manual.\nMust be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.\nMust be able to pass respiratory fit testing\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nMinimum of high school diploma or equivalent\nAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.\nPlease note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.\nPay Transparency\nReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
