Apply today!\nAbout the role\nReworld is looking for a new Facility Manager for our Lorton, VA site. We are looking for a leader skilled in developing teams, promoting safety and encouraging collaboration. Experience in Paper Mills, Power Plants and Chemical Manufacturing a plus. We welcome veterans and transitioning military.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSafety\nEnsure safe and environmentally responsible operations at the site.\nOversee and promote effective Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and practices.\nProductivity\nCoordinates all outages and maintenance planning including utilizing regional and corporate resources when necessary to maximize effectiveness.\nLead site operations to consistently meet or exceed business objectives and Annual Operating Plan targets.\nMaintain cost effectiveness through aggressive productivity and asset management.\nDevelop long term maintenance, staffing, operational and budgetary plans\nDevelop and execute strategy for the site to increase operational discipline/accountability, productivity, quality, reliability, employee engagement/retention.\nChampion use of Six Sigma/Lean tools in driving plant improvement to develop and implement strategic initiatives relative to inventory, capacity utilization, and growth opportunities to deliver business results and drive maturity beyond current level.\nCustomer/Community Relations:\nRepresent Reworld in local government, community, and industry groups.\nDevelop relationships to improve performance with key Clients.\nBuild positive working relationships within the global organization and serve as point-of-contact for broader Company initiatives.\nSupervision\nImprove and develop organization capabilities through effective performance management and planning/utilization of human and capital resources.\nDrive cultural change, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.\nDevelop and maintain effective site leadership team. Motivate the team to encourage personal and professional growth by setting goals and objectives for all functional areas of the plant.\nChampion programs to address employee satisfaction, employee training, communications, technology transfer, process improvement and departmental structure to support operating and strategic goals.\nQualification Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred. Candidates requiring employment sponsorship must meet the applicable sponsorship and immigration requirements. These may include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.\n5-10 years of progressive power plant or power generation experience\nIn-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, project planning, cost control, and program management.\nExperience in use of Six Sigma tools, with Lean, Black belt or Green belt certification preferred.\nProven track record of success in implementing HS&E programs and business initiatives.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to influence others and interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.\nPrevious management experience in power generation environments, including Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facilities, coal-fired power plants, biomass power plants, nuclear power plants, or combined cycle power plants\nProven leadership skills as a team player/builder and a driver of value-added results.\nStrong internal and external communication and team-building skills.\nAbility to recognize the unique talents, perspectives, and experiences of others to get results and develop all levels of the organization\nExperience in building (re-building) process/systems focused structure.\nPhysical Demands:\nFrequently ascends or descends ladders, stairs, elevated walkways, ramps, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.\nFrequently lifts or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds.\nPosition requires working near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations.\nCapable of wearing personal protective equipment, such as hearing protectors and respirators, as necessary.\nWhat Reworld Offers You:\nHealth Care Benefits - start 1st day of employment\nPerformance based Annual Incentive Plan\nWellness Program Incentives & Rewards\n401k - match up to 7%\nPaid Time Off (Vacation & Holiday)\nPaid Parental Leave\nShort-Term & Long-Term Disability Benefits\nTuition Reimbursement\nEmployee Referral Bonus\nIn addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits.
