Apply today!\nAbout the role\nThis position is an entry level. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Industrial/Waste Lab Assistant to join our team. The Industrial/Waste Lab Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations and conducting analyses and testing of industrial waste materials to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including sample preparation, analysis, and reporting of results.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare and analyze samples according to established protocols and procedures.\nCalculate and report analytical results accurately and in a timely manner.\nParticipate in general lab housekeeping, including sample sorting and disposal.\nClean glassware to meet appropriate analytical cleanliness standards.\nMaintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas used during the workday.\nAdhere to the Waste Analysis Plan and Chemical Hygiene Plan.\nCommunicate technical information effectively both orally and in writing.\nBackground in instrumentation with proficiency in GC, ICP, and Calorimeter.\nPerform additional job-related duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nMust have a high school diploma or equivalency.\nPrevious relevant industrial waste laboratory experience desired but not required.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nKnowledge of the waste industry is preferred.\nAbility to perform multiple tasks efficiently.\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy in work.\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar software.\nPhysical Requirements:\nBe able to climb stairs\nBe able to stand and work on your feet for the majority of your shift (less breaks)\nMust be able to lift 50lbs\nSome lab sites are required to work outside and collect samples from the tank trailers. Climbing ladders to collect samples to bring to the lab for testing.
