Apply today!\nAbout the role\nReworld is seeking an Operations Manager to join our Reworld West Palm Beach team!\nThis position will report directly to the Facility Manager at our Reworld Palm 2 facility in West Palm Beach, FL.\nThe Operations Manager position will provide strategic and operational guidance for the safe and cost-effective operation of our Thermomechanical Treatment Facility (TTF). The role has multiple direct reports and these include Operations Supervisor and Shift Supervisors. This role will also be accountable for the non-exempt Operating Technicians in the facility. The Operations Manager will interact directly with business and Reworld SME and other support teams.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nSet expectations, hold people accountable and role model Reworld Values and Behaviors to ensure a safe and inclusive workplace, deliver results with trust, and build breakthrough capabilities.\nDeliver superior environmental, health, and safety leadership to ensure no accidents, no harm to people, and no damage to the environment. Ensures compliance to all permit requirements.\nProvide leadership and oversight to keep boiler and turbine performance at optimal levels.\nAccountable for executing the business strategy into actionable operations and improvement plans, including establishing individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).\nProvide input to the long-term planning process which supports the business and corporate strategy.\nCommunicate and implement Operations Department objectives, priorities, and progress.\nDevelop and implement resource plans for effective performance and manage employee relations/engagement.\nChampion continuous improvement and productivity using methodologies such as Six Sigma® and Lean.\nLead continuous learning, development, and performance efforts to improve operations capabilities and effectiveness.\nProvide leadership and coaching to effectively grow and develop personnel.\nDrive cultural change, operational discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset throughout the operations department.\nProvide assurance of compliance to procedures through auditing.\nResponsible for the housekeeping and appearance of the operations areas to maintain a safe working environment.\nThe following is required for this role:\nBachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical preferred.\n10 or more years of plant operations supervisory/managerial experience will be accepted in lieu of degree or equivalent military experience.\nExperience to include power plant operations, or high-pressure boiler experience with a sound understanding of power plant operations.\nPrior experience in a People Leader role.\nDemonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse population of employees and contractors.\nProven leadership skills as a team player/builder and a driver of value-added results.\nStrong internal and external communication skills to stakeholders.\nAbility to energize and develop all levels of the team. \nExperience in building (re-building) process/systems focused structure.\nMaintenance experience with outages, rotating and electrical generation equipment (turbine, generator, etc.) preferred.\nThorough safety management skills in high hazard operations.\nDemonstrated leadership abilities in facilitating continuous improvement in power plant or manufacturing industries.\nThe ASME, QRO/CFO Certification is desirable, or must be able to qualify for this certification (or any other required certification) within six months of employment.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization, with demonstrated ability to influence and energize others.\nThe following is preferred for this role:\nMaterials handling and processing experience (screw or belt conveyors, cranes, hoppers, etc.).\nSix Sigma certification and/or Lean Manufacturing certification or experience is highly desirable.\nFamiliarity with a CMMS for ordering/cost/work order administration.\nExperience in a specialty chemical plant, environment with significant material handling, or waste-to-energy or coal fired power plant is highly preferred.\nProven leadership skills as a team player/builder and a driver of value-added results.\nStrong internal and external communication and team-building skills. \nAbility to energize and develop all levels of the team. \nExperience in building (re-building) process/systems focused structure.\nMaintenance experience with outages, rotating and electrical generation equipment (turbine, generator, etc.)\nExperience in or knowledge of one or more these is preferred:\nElectrical and controls systems\nAir compressors\nCondensate pumps\nCooling water systems\nUnderstanding of solid fuel combustion practices and materials handling processes\nContinuous Improvement\nSafety and Incident Management\nAdditional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications, and organizational skills.\nOff-hours and on call work may be required.\nCareer growth oriented.\nHands-on, analytical, problem-solving approach.\nAbility to quickly learn and adapt to complex plant systems, processes, and operational requirements\nTroubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to walk, stand, sit, and climb \nAbility to lift/carry 50lbs \nAbility to work from heights and in confined spaces \nQualify to wear a full-face respirator \nConsistently work in various weather conditions\nBenefits\nHealth Care Benefits - start 1st day of employment \nWellness Program Incentives & Rewards \n401k - match up to 7% \nPaid Time Off (Vacation & Holiday) \nPaid Parental Leave \nShort-Term & Long-Term Disability Benefits \nTuition Reimbursement \nEmployee Referral Bonus \nIn addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits.
