Rexel Industrial Solutions (RIS) is a specialist VMI and MRO provider to the Industrial sector. We work in collaboration with each customer making inventory control more efficient, through optimising the relationship between our customers and suppliers.
Rexel Industrial Solutions provides a tailored service package to meet each of our client’s individual requirements - from traditional product supply and vendor reduction programmes to on-site stores management with dedicated in-house buyers
Reporting to the Engineering Stores Manager, an Engineering Stores Operative is part of the On Site Engineering Stores team, which is responsible for efficiently managing inventory including MRO Spares, VMI Material and all consumables. The role also involves to filing of all relevant documentation including POD’s Delivery dockets and any relevant certification.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with Customer Global and local policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Execute current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and good documentation practices (GDP) in the performance of day to day activities.
- Complete site training and keep up-to-date with latest operational procedures.
- Receive all deliveries on Customers ERP system as per MRO Storeroom SOP. Receive all deliveries to site and advise relevant parties of the deliveries, distribute all deliveries to relevant areas on site.
- Find and Issue all material requests to maintenance work orders. Be available to assist with locating materials. Maintain logbooks for various activities in store area (key issue, high value item issues etc.)
- Regular cycle counting and feedback to Engineering Stores manager.
- Ensure Engineering Stores housekeeping and safety is always to audit readiness.
- Where applicable - Maintain the weekly count of RISS VMI materials, advising the Account Manager of potential stock outs and identifying slow moving VMI materials. Complete a monthly stock check of VMI cabinets.
- Process and pack any returns materials to suppliers.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with Site Engineering Stores SOP's.
- Ensure that all training requirements are kept fully up to date
EXPERIENCE
- Working in a fast paced Warehouse/ Engineering Stores.
- Previous training or use of Manual handling equipment
- Experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel is essential
- Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Strong teamwork background
- Good knowledge of warehousing systems ii s an advantage
- Ability to work with detailed information in a structured fashion
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction Understanding of Health & Safety issues
