In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.\n We are looking for an Order Packer to join our Talley team in Lenexa, KS!\nSummary:\nThe Order Packer Large Parcel - Talley position is an advanced position within the Operations department. In this role, you will be responsible for packing customer orders, internal material transfers, and vendor claims in accordance with Talley’s established procedures, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements. Your depth of previous experience in this occupation carries with it an expectation that you will be able to perform all duties listed below with a high level of production, accuracy, and efficiency.\nWhat You'll Do:\nPerform a final quality check to verify that the orders/transfers/vendor claims provided to the packing area are 100% accurate in line with the order requirements\nReport any discrepancies per established procedures\nInput data entry to accurately document the items and quantities included in each packing transaction\nPrepare and package all outbound orders carefully to ensure the merchandise is sufficiently protected from in-transit loss or damage\nApply packaging labels / attach packing lists and stage completed orders for shipment manifest\nIdentify expedited requirements and prioritize the processing of those needs accordingly\nAssist in the training of new packing staff and other less experienced packers\nReport any unsafe work practices or accidents to the supervisor in a timely manner\nConduct packing supply inventory checks and ensure that stock levels of packing supplies are maintained\nDisplays strong work ethic and honesty and adheres to all company policies and procedures\nEngages in work with a high sense of urgency, highly organized and detail-oriented\nBe open to change and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations\nAdditional job duties and responsibilities may be added at any time, as business needs may dictate\nJob Duties Disclaimer:\nThe information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
