The job incumbent’s role is\nessential in supporting the Quantity Surveying team particularly in cost\nestimation, project management, and the payment life cycle.\nRole & Responsibilities\n Assist in the submission of bank guarantees,\ninsurance covers, and in the preparation of project cash flow, tender\ndocuments, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.\n Value progress of works, prepare and submit payment\napplications.\nMeasure and value materials on site. \nAssist the QS team in tracking and pricing for\nvariations.\nAssist in the remeasurement and preparation of final\naccounts of clients.\nAssist in the preparation of cost reports.\nPrepare cost analysis based on the architectural\ndrawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labour involved.\nMonitor costs on projects and report on deviations\nfrom budget.\n\n Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Head\n of Department.\n\nQualification &\nExperience:\n\n Higher School Certificate\n\n 2 years’ experience in a similar position will be an\n advantage.\n\nKnowledge, Skills &\nAttitude: \nNumeracy\nand mathematical calculations to provide accurate estimation of material\nquantities, budget calculations, and cost tracking.\nData\nInterpretation to interpret complex data related to costs, contracts, and\nproject progress.\nGood\nIT Skills with proficiency in using software programs for CAD (computer-aided\ndesign) and Data Management.\nGood\nunderstanding of construction methods and materials.\nGood\ncommunication skills to interact with clients, Architects, Engineers, and other\nconstruction professionals.\n\n Time management.\n\n Ability to work flexible hours.\n\nLocation: Royal Road, Camp Benoit, Petite Rivière.\n\nManagement reserves the right to call only the best\ncandidates for an interview.
