Job Profile

We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join our dynamic Lifts & Escalators Department who will be responsible for preparing tenders and technical proposals, assessing project requirements and managing projects from design to handover.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Review client specifications, drawings and tender documents to determine project requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and recommend suitable lift and escalator solutions.
• Prepare preliminary designs and ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes and client requirements.
• Coordinate assigned projects including planning, scheduling, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, quality standards, and timelines and provide regular updates to Management.
• Supervise subcontractors and service providers to ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
• Any other cognate duties may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position will be an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitude

• Knowledge of engineering concepts to accurately interpret lift operational mechanisms, execute compliant lift design, and diagnose and rectify system faults.
• Experience in sales and project implementation will be an advantage.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office, Project Management Software and AutoCAD.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
• Holder of a valid driving licence for private car.
