This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Dubuque, IA.\nThis is a full-time position with a full benefit packagelisted below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\nElectrical and Software Test Engineer\nThis position is associated with testing of electrical systems and software that control vehicle operation and functions for next generation machines. Testing methods include diagnostic troubleshooting, automated software testing, and full or partial machine testing. This role requires a combination of hardware and software expertise to ensure test systems meet current product requirements and are ready for production builds. The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with experience working across both software and hardware systems.\nResponsibilities\nUpdate and maintain end-of-line test systems to support new product requirements.\nModify and improve test software as products and testing needs evolve.\nRemove outdated code and test functions that are no longer required.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure all required tests are included in production test systems.\nAttend design reviews and project meetings to understand upcoming testing requirements.\nCreate and coordinate work orders for test stand, fixture, and harness updates.\nTroubleshoot hardware and software issues on production test equipment.\nSupport implementation and validation of updated test systems before production builds.\nDocument test procedures, software changes, and system updates.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.\nExperience with both software development and hardware integration.\nProgramming experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, or similar.\nFamiliarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or electronic test equipment.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting automated test equipment or manufacturing test systems.\nKnowledge of production testing and validation processes.\nExperience with electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures.\nFamiliarity with data acquisition systems and industrial communications.\nPay Range: $70,000-$100,000 - Commensurate with experience\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
