This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility located near Green Bay, WI.\nThis is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\nElectrical Design Engineer\nThe Electrical Design Engineer will support the design and development of electrical harnesses and routing for specialized machines. In this role, you will work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to optimize wire harness layouts, ensure manufacturability, and maintain compliance with design and safety standards.\nJob Description\nDesign and route electrical harnesses and cables using 3D CAD software\n\nDevelop and maintain wiring schematics, harness drawings, and technical documentation.\n\nEnsure efficient and logical routing of electrical components to optimize performance, serviceability, and manufacturability.\n\nCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to integrate wire harness designs into complex assemblies.\n\nPerform quality checks and design validations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.\n\nSupport prototype builds and troubleshooting to refine designs and resolve issues.\n\nWork with suppliers to select appropriate connectors, wires, and protective sheathing for durability and performance.\n\nRequirements\nAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\n\nExperience with wire harness routing and design in 3D CAD software.\nKnowledge of electrical schematics, connectors, and industry wiring standards.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively communicate design considerations.\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with wire harness routing and design in 3D CAD software.\nExperience with Creo Harness, Zuken E3, Capital Harness, or similar wire harness design tools.\n\nFamiliarity with off-highway, automotive, or aerospace electrical systems.\n\nUnderstanding of electrical routing best practices, including bend radii, clearance, and thermal considerations.\n\nExperience with PLM systems such as Windchill or Teamcenter.\n\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
