We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.\nElectrical Engineering Technician\nThe Electrical Engineering Technician will support the testing and validation of refrigeration control products, including thermostats, pressure controls, temperature controls, and pneumatic controls. This hands-on role is responsible for setting up and executing laboratory tests, collecting data, documenting results, and maintaining test equipment and fixtures.\nResponsibilities\nBuild, wire, and configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation.\nPerform environmental, cycle life, performance, pressure, leak, and certification testing.\nInstall sensors and operate lab equipment including environmental chambers and test stands.\nCollect, document, and organize test data, observations, and photographs.\nAssist with agency witness testing and certification activities.\nTroubleshoot test equipment and report failures or abnormal results.\nMaintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and test samples.\nSupport continuous improvement of test procedures and laboratory operations.\nQualifications\nAssociates of Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Engineering Technology.\n0-3 years of hands-on technical experience, including internships.\nAbility to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.\nExperience with multimeters, hand tools, and basic shop equipment.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with environmental chambers, vibration testing, or cycle testing.\nExperience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.\nRefrigeration, HVAC, pressure, or leak-testing experience.\nElectrical wiring, soldering, or panel-building experience.\nBasic machining or fabrication skills.\nFamiliarity with UL or CSA test methods.\nEPA Section 608 Certification.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.\nPay Range: $50,000-$80,000 - Commensurate with experience\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
