Our Eden Prairie based positions allow for a hybrid work environment with up to 50% work-from-home.\nEmbedded Software Engineer\nThis position is associated with the design and development of Back-end embedded software that controls machine operations and functions. Development methods include C and C++ programming languages and Model Based Software Design.\nResponsibilities:\nFeature by feature Back-end software development per Software Requirements Document of embedded software applications that control vehicle functions\nIntegration of software in a multi-developer team using Continuous Integration process\nFunctional and integration testing prior to hand-off to software test and evaluation group\nDevelopment and release status tracking using the Agile development process\nCreation and support of software for machine prototyping\nTroubleshoot and provide solutions for issues/updates posed by customer on the products released by the aftermarket team using engineering software and hardware tools\nCreation of software design documentation\nDesign, develop and modify software features and libraries to integrate them into various microcontrollers\nWork with software architects and developers to research and investigate project specific applications\nDevelop test cases to perform unit testing and regression testing for various aftermarket applications\nRequirements\nBS in Software, Computer, Electrical or other relevant Engineering degree\nExperience with C or C++ development\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nSelf-motivated, quick learner, with an any-problem-can-be-solved attitude\nGood organizational and time management skills\nAbility to identify needed actions and act to resolve issues\nAbility to communicate technical information effectively with a culturally diverse team\nAbility to thrive in a team environment\nMust have a valid Driver's License\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with CAN J1939 & LIN communication protocols\nExperience with Simulink/Matlab Model Based Software Design\nExperience with GitHub\nGeneral machine knowledge of vehicles or heavy equipment\nAble to read/understand electrical schematics\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.\nPay Range: $70,000-$110,000 - Commensurate with experience\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
