This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.\nThis is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\nEntry Level Mechanical Design Engineer\nThis role will focus on mechanical design, new product introduction (NPI), product improvement, validation, and cost reduction. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers to develop reliable, durable, and cost-effective turbocharger solutions.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and develop turbocharger components and related mechanical systems for large engine applications.\nSupport turbocharger NPI, product improvement, and cost reduction projects.\nDevelop and evaluate designs for performance, reliability, durability, manufacturability, and cost.\nCreate and modify 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.\nParticipate in design reviews and support DFMEA activities.\nDevelop validation requirements and coordinate turbocharger component testing.\nWork with suppliers using APQP processes to support component development and quality.\nAnalyze validation results and component failures to develop design improvements.\nSupport prototype builds, manufacturing, and current-product issues.\nManage multiple engineering projects while meeting timing, cost, and performance objectives.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience or coursework in mechanical design and product development.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.\nExperience with 3D CAD software; Creo preferred.\nStrong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.\nDesired Attributes\nTurbocharger, diesel engine, natural gas engine, or powertrain experience.\nAPQP and DFMEA experience.\nComponent or system validation experience.\nCreo and Teamcenter experience.\nSupplier development or manufacturing support experience.\nExperience with NPI and continuous product improvement.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.\nPay Range: $65,000-$75,000 - Commensurate with experience\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
