These positions will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.\nThis is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\nManufacturing Engineer\nRFA Engineering is currently recruiting for several Manufacturing Engineer positions supporting manufacturing and production operations in Pontiac, Illinois. Opportunities are available across varying experience levels with both 1st and 2nd shift positions.\nSelected candidates will support manufacturing operations, production processes, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Opportunities may include machining and CNC process development, assembly and test operations, process improvement, APQP activities, equipment troubleshooting, production support, and quality improvement. The work will be highly collaborative with manufacturing engineering, operations, quality, design, and other cross-functional teams.\nResponsibilities\nSupport daily manufacturing and production operations.\nDevelop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes.\nProvide hands-on shop floor support and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues.\nIdentify and implement process improvements focused on quality, safety, productivity, and cost.\nSupport machining, CNC, assembly, test, and automated manufacturing processes.\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing process documentation and standard work.\nReview engineering drawings, blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.\nSupport APQP activities including Process Flow, Control Plans, and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).\nAnalyze manufacturing and test results to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.\nSupport testing and validation of new processes and process improvements.\nWork closely with production operators to maintain and improve manufacturing processes.\nCollaborate with quality, operations, design, and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve production issues.\nSupport implementation of engineering changes and manufacturing process updates.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing process reviews.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline preferred. Comparable manufacturing experience may also be considered.\nExperience working in a manufacturing, machining, assembly, production, or related technical environment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with engineering, operations, quality, and production teams.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nDesired Experience\nExperience with manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.\nExperience with machining processes and CNC equipment.\nExperience with CNC programming or manufacturing process development.\nExperience with assembly and test operations.\nExperience with APQP, Process Flow, Control Plans, and PFMEA.\nExperience troubleshooting manufacturing or assembly equipment.\nExperience supporting automated manufacturing cells.\nExperience with machining processes such as honing, OD/ID grinding, or centerless grinding.\nExperience developing and maintaining standard work and manufacturing process documentation.\nExperience working directly with production operators and manufacturing teams.\nExperience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.\nExperience with CAD or other engineering software.\nExperience supporting high-volume or high-precision manufacturing operations.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.\nPay Range: $60,000-$110,000 commensurate with experience\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
