The selected candidate will work with experienced engineering and manufacturing professionals using state-of-the-art tools and processes.\nThis is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\nManufacturing Engineer\nThis position serves as a critical liaison between machine assembly facilities and component manufacturing operations, ensuring quality issues are contained, communicated, investigated, and resolved through structured problem-solving methodologies. The successful candidate will lead quality improvement efforts, support end-to-end Built in Quality initiatives, and drive corrective actions that enhance customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the development and implementation of centrifugal casting\nLead emergency, interim, and permanent corrective actions for customer and internal quality issues.\nDrive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations across cross-functional teams.\nServe as an ambassador and coach for End-to-End (E2E) Built in Quality initiatives.\nLead quality improvement projects utilizing Microsoft Office 365 tools and data analysis techniques.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.\nCollaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, design, and production teams to resolve product and process issues.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.\nUtilize structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, Six Sigma, and other quality tools.\nAnalyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.\nDrive compliance with quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.\nSupport implementation of quality systems, best practices, and process improvements.\nParticipate in factory floor investigations and hands-on quality assessments.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, and two or more years of relevant industrial experience.\nAn associate degree in a related technical field with at least four years of relevant experience may also be considered.\nExperience applying 8D or comparable structured problem-solving methodologies in a manufacturing environment.\nGood working knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality standards.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to effectively work across multiple disciplines.\nProficiency utilizing Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Excel for data analysis.\nAbility to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.\nExperience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.\nDesired Experience\nExperience developing or improving manufacturing processes.\nFamiliarity with machining processes and equipment.\nSelf-motivated and highly organized.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.\nComfortable balancing hands-on factory floor activities with office-based project work.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nDemonstrated leadership in team-based environments.\nResults-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.\nExperience developing processes focused on improved safety, single-piece flow, traceability, quality, and cost reduction.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.\nPay Range: $60,000-$90,000 commensurate with experience\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
