This role serves as the technical expert for CNC programming, tooling, fixture design, and process optimization while partnering with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations to improve efficiency, quality, and manufacturing performance. This position is located onsite at our customers facility within an hour of Savannah, GA.\nRFA Engineering has partnered with one of our customers to identify a talented professional for this direct hire opportunity.\nManufacturing Engineer - CNC Machining\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers using CAM software.\nCreate and maintain manufacturing processes, setup sheets, work instructions, and tooling documentation.\nImprove machining processes, cycle times, machine utilization, and product quality.\nSelect tooling, cutting parameters and fixture designs for efficient production.\nTroubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, and production issues.\nSupport prototype builds, new product introductions, and design for manufacturability reviews.\nAnalyze production data to reduce setup time, scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.\nEvaluate new tooling, machining technologies, and manufacturing equipment.\nProvide technical support and training to production teams while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant manufacturing experience will be considered.\n5+ years of experience in CNC programming, precision machining, manufacturing engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.\nStrong knowledge of CNC machining processes, G-code programming, and CAM software.\nExperience programming CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and manufacturing specifications.\nExperience with tooling selection, fixture design, and machining process optimization.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD/CAM software.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization is preferred.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and production launch activities.\nKnowledge of statistical process improvement techniques and manufacturing quality systems.\nExperience evaluating and implementing new machining technologies and capital equipment.\nAbility to mentor manufacturing personnel and provide technical leadership on the production floor.\nThis position is eligible for a full benefits package and
