This position would be based out of our corporate office in Eden Prairie, MN or Fargo, ND.\nSoftware Product Manager\nSoftware Product Manager will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of advanced software solutions supporting precision agriculture and intelligent machine systems. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, stakeholders, and end users to define product direction, prioritize development efforts, and deliver valuable software features that solve real-world customer challenges.\nResponsibilities\nDefine and communicate the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap for software applications and machine systems.\nGather customer, stakeholder, and business requirements and translate them into clear product specifications and development priorities.\nOwn and manage the product backlog, ensuring development efforts focus on high-value features and business objectives.\nCreate and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature requirements for software development teams.\nWork closely with engineering teams to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, quality, and delivery schedules.\nLead product planning activities, roadmap reviews, backlog prioritization, and release planning.\nAnalyze customer feedback, product performance metrics, and market trends to identify future development opportunities.\nCoordinate software releases and communicate feature updates to stakeholders and users.\nCollaborate with systems, software, test, and product teams to ensure successful product delivery.\nDrive continuous improvement of product management processes and development workflows.\nSupport business case development, feature prioritization, and product investment decisions.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.\nExperience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Software Product Manager, Systems Engineer, or similar role supporting software development.\nStrong understanding of Agile development methodologies and Scrum principles.\nExperience developing product roadmaps, managing product backlogs, and defining software requirements.\nAbility to prioritize competing initiatives while maintaining alignment with business and customer objectives.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience working directly with software development teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nDesired Attributes\nExperience managing software products in embedded, automotive, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications.\nKnowledge of software development processes, software architecture, and systems integration.\nExperience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, or similar product development platforms.\nFamiliarity with embedded software development environments utilizing C, C++, C#, or Qt.\nExperience with CAN J1939, ISOBUS (ISO 11783), or other vehicle communication protocols.\nFamiliarity with model-based software development using MATLAB/Simulink.\nUnderstanding of connected machines, precision agriculture, automation, autonomy, or industrial control systems.\nVisa Sponsorship is NOT Available for this position.\nPay Range $100,000-$150,000 - commensurate with experience\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
