This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.\nThis is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\nSystem Test Engineer - Advanced Machine Technology\nThis role supports the testing and validation of advanced technologies used on off-highway equipment. The engineer will develop and execute test plans, operate and evaluate machine systems, conduct customer field testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product performance.\nResponsibilities\nEvaluate and test software technologies on construction and off-highway equipment.\nDevelop and execute machine and system validation test plans.\nUse surveying equipment to measure camera system field of view and performance.\nCoordinate testing activities with Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) teams.\nDocument results and provide feedback to engineering and design teams.\nSupport R&D and technology testing activities using engineering machines.\nConduct field evaluations at customer locations.\nGather and document customer feedback.\nPrepare trip reports and communicate findings to project teams.\nSupport equipment logistics and machine availability for testing activities.\nTravel up to 25%, including occasional international travel.\nRequirements\nBachelor's or Master's of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.\nAbility to interpret software requirements, state diagrams, and test plan documentation.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nSelf-motivated with a hands-on approach to problem solving.\nAbility to manage multiple activities and priorities.Willingness to travel up to 25%.\nAbility to operate machinery or heavy equipment during testing.\nMust have a valid driver's license.\nDesired Attributes\nExperience with construction, agricultural, or other off-highway equipment.\nProduct testing, validation, or technical support experience.\nExposure to machine systems, sensors, cameras, controls, or software-based technologies.\nExperience with systems, controls, or embedded software is a plus but not required.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience with Python automation, test scripting, and data analysis. \nKnowledge of CAN/J1939, UDS diagnostics, Vector tools, and hardware troubleshooting/debugging. \nVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position\nPay Range: $65,000-$85,000 - Commensurate with experience.\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943.
