You will work with Industry Specialists to support a cohort of undergraduate students, connecting them with relevant internship or full-time opportunities in a selected industry.\nBuild a Community:\nProvide both group and 1:1 activity designed to help students identify career goals, academic courses, and goal-oriented career opportunities\nDevelop your cohort’s identity as a peer network\nHelp students plan for internships and other opportunities to build their experience in and exposure to workplaces\nAssess students’ professional abilities and development at several points throughout the cohort\nEstablish a Peer Network:\nParticipate in CUNY-wide professional development and mentoring\nCollaborate between academic/career advisors and academic departments on insights from employers that might influence curricula and individual student progress\nCreate Pathways:\nIdentify barriers to student success within areas of study related to career goals\nShare information on student needs and connect them to supportive services and campus resources\nExpand student exposure to careers and the courses needed to prepare for them\nCoordinate programs to enhance job-seeking skills\nPortfolio Management:\nCreate plans for your cohort’s structure of programs, assessments, advising and referral activities\nTrack progress, challenges and outcomes using state-of-the-art technology to measure success and make adjustments in real-time\nOther duties as assigned.\nThis position is grant-funded and is currently funded through June 30, 2027. Subject to satisfactory performance, continued programmatic need, departmental priorities, and available funding, the appointment may be extended into the following fiscal year. Reporting to the Program Director, the Integrated Advisor will be part of the Human Biology Program at Hunter College. The Human\nBiology Program is a fast-growing interdisciplinary undergraduate major with >2,000 students that are interested in employment in the healthcare sector.\nThe work location is the 68th Street Campus at Hunter College, and the expectation is to be on-site four days per week and remote one day per week.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nA Bachelor’s degree is required.
