If you like the sound of us so far, keep reading to see if you have the experience and skills needed for this rewarding role!\n\nThe Position \nThe Cook Team Member contributes to the preparation for that day's tasty lunch. You'll perform routine kitchen duties such as setting up workstations, and following recipes. The Cook Team Member is proactive in health and safety matters, ensuring all rules are being followed. The Cook Team Member will consistently work as a member of a fast-paced, busy environment in a team setting. \nKey Responsibilities\nFood Production\nAssist with high-volume meal preparation.\nCook and portion hot food items according to standardized recipes.\nOrganize, weigh, and count food ingredients.\nFollow all food safety regulations and operational guidelines.\nEnsure all food meets quality and safety standards, promptly reporting any issues to the Quality Assurance team and Production Manager.\nContribute to team performance metrics and participate in team meetings.\nSupport production tasks related to meal preparation for the following day.\nOther duties as required\nClean & Safe Work Environment\nMaintain a clean and organized workspace.\nEnsure fridges and freezers remain well-stocked and orderly.\nProperly sort and dispose of kitchen waste in an organized manner.\nAssist with waste removal as needed.\nAdhere to all health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment.\nAbout You\nRequired Education & Experience\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nPrevious experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food production environment is preferred.\nAdditional Skills\nStrong work ethic – dedicated, reliable, and eager to get the job done right.\nTeam player – works well in a collaborative environment.\nPunctual and dependable – maintains a strong attendance record.\nPhysical stamina – able to stand for an entire 8-hour shift and lift up to 25kg repeatedly.\nAttention to cleanliness – maintains high hygiene and sanitation standards.\nBasic English proficiency – ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.\nMath skills – capable of performing basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) for portioning and measurements.\nNice-to-have\nFirst Aid Training Certification\nFood Handler’s Certification\n\nWorking at RFRK comes with other perks too:\n\nBenefits & Savings Programs\nPerformance-based annual bonus \nComprehensive benefits, inclusive of a Health Spending Account\nCompetitive RRSP Matching program\nRESP Matching program for up to 2 children \nFamily comes first!
