The Controller will oversee the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, internal controls, compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities while partnering with leadership to support business objectives and drive operational excellence. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong technical accounting expertise, and can effectively manage teams, processes, and cross-functional relationships.\nW2 Hourly Rate: $65-90/hr DOE (project based consulting engagement)\nWhat You Will Work On\nLead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.\nDirect the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results.\nPrepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.\nOversee account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet integrity.\nPartner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning initiatives.\nCoordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.\nProvide technical accounting guidance and support for complex transactions and new business initiatives.\nContinuously assess and improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and scalability.\nMentor, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.\nSupport ERP implementations, system enhancements, and other process improvement initiatives as needed.\nCollaborate with business leaders across departments to provide financial insights and drive informed decision-making.\nWhat You Will Bring\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nCPA designation strongly preferred.\n8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting best practices.\nExperience managing month-end close, audits, and compliance requirements.\nProven ability to lead accounting teams and develop staff.\nAdvanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nAbility to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment.\nExperience supporting process improvement, automation, and system implementations is highly desirable.\nWhat You Can Expect\nAn inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart. \nCompensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors. \nTotal Rewards include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).\nWhat We Do\nAt RGP, we're creating a future where businesses produce their best work without constraints.
