This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong full-cycle AP experience who can step into a fast-paced environment, quickly understand existing processes, and help ensure accurate and timely invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and month-end activities.\nThe consultant will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders while helping strengthen controls, resolve issues, and identify opportunities to improve AP processes.\nWhat You Will Work On\nManage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, approvals, posting, and payment processing.\nPerform 2-way and 3-way matching and investigate invoice, purchase order, and receiving discrepancies.\nProcess and support ACH, wire, check, and other payment runs.\nReconcile AP subledger activity to the general ledger and research variances.\nMaintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries and payment issues.\nReview AP aging and help resolve outstanding or aged items.\nSupport month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.\nPartner with Procurement, Finance, and Accounting teams to improve Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.\nSupport internal and external audit requests and maintain appropriate documentation.\nEnsure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements, where applicable.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve AP efficiency.\nWhat You Will Bring\n10+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a complex or high-volume environment.\nStrong knowledge of full-cycle AP and Procure-to-Pay processes.\nExperience with invoice matching, vendor reconciliations, payment processing, accruals, and month-end close.\nWorking knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance.\nExperience with a major ERP platform such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, or NetSuite.
