Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Operations, this highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity program, and compliance framework for a publicly traded biotechnology company at a transformational stage of growth.\nWhat You Will Work On\nLead Technology Strategy & Operations\nServe as the head of the IT function, driving technology strategy, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and operational excellence.\nDevelop and execute an IT roadmap that supports clinical development, manufacturing growth, regulatory compliance, and future commercialization.\nPartner with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives.\nBuild and Scale a Modern IT Environment\nDesign, implement, and maintain scalable cloud, network, server, and end-user computing environments.\nEvaluate and introduce new technologies that enhance productivity, security, and operational performance.\nEstablish scalable IT processes and governance that support organizational growth.\nDrive Cybersecurity & Compliance\nLead and continuously enhance the company's cybersecurity program, including identity management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness initiatives.\nEnsure GxP-regulated systems are validated and maintained in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity requirements, and industry best practices.\nSupport SOX IT controls and collaborates with internal and external auditors.\nManage Critical Business & Scientific Systems\nOversee the administration and support of key business and scientific applications, including Microsoft 365, ERP platforms, eQMS, and laboratory systems.\nPartner with Quality, Manufacturing, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Finance, and HR to ensure technology effectively supports business needs.\nLead and Develop the IT Team\nDirectly manage and mentor an IT team member while fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture.\nOversee the relationship, performance, and deliverables of the company's managed services and consulting partners.\nManage IT budgets, vendor relationships, licensing agreements, and technology investments.\n\nEnsure Business Continuity\nDevelop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect critical scientific, clinical, and corporate data.\nOversee employee onboarding, offboarding, asset management, and technology lifecycle processes.\nWhat You Will Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.\n10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibility for an IT function, department, or team.\nExperience supporting a growing clinical-stage biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organization.\nHands-on expertise managing cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure), networks, servers, cybersecurity, and end-user technologies.\nStrong knowledge of computer system validation (CSV), GxP environments, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity requirements.\nExperience administering enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, ERP, eQMS, laboratory systems, and related business technologies.\nExperience managing IT budgets, software licensing, vendors, and managed service providers.\nUnderstanding of SOX IT controls within a publicly traded company environment.\nLeadership Characteristics\nA collaborative, low-ego leader who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on.\nStrong communicator capable of building trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.\nProven success leading through influence in fast-paced, evolving environments.\nSolution-oriented with excellent judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.\nPassionate about building scalable systems and processes that support growth.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience supporting organizations preparing for commercialization or significant operational scale-up.\nProfessional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, ITIL, PMP, or related credentials.\nExperience working within regulated biotechnology, cell therapy, gene therapy, or pharmaceutical environments.\nSalary: $220-250K\nWhat You Can Expect\nAn inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.\nCompensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors. \nTotal Rewards include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).\nWhat We Do\nAt RGP, we're creating a future where businesses produce their best work without constraints.
