In this role, you'll support security monitoring, threat detection, and incident escalation activities to safeguard the Bank's information assets and technology environment. You will play a key role in the Security Operations Centre by identifying, analyzing, and responding to potential cybersecurity threats while ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements.\nWhat you will be doing\nMonitor IT security events, abnormalities, and suspicious activities, ensuring timely closure or escalation of alerts to Level 2 analysts.\nInvestigate security alerts using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, data visualization platforms, pattern recognition, and behavioral analysis techniques.\nValidate security alerts by engaging with relevant users and stakeholders when necessary.\nEscalate potential security incidents promptly in accordance with established incident response procedures.\nProvide feedback on security use cases and detection rules to support continuous improvement of monitoring capabilities.\nIdentify and recommend tuning opportunities to reduce false positive alerts and improve detection accuracy.\nDocument, maintain, and update the knowledge base for security alarms, including false positives, false negatives, and investigation outcomes.\nMaintain SOC communication channels, including group email accounts, distribution lists, and hotline support.\nEnsure incident records and operational documentation are accurately maintained and updated.\nSupport the Bank's cybersecurity operations by adhering to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and security best practices.\nWhat we're looking for\nA Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field from an institution recognized by the Government of Malaysia.\nCandidates with knowledge or experience in cybersecurity, information security operations, security monitoring, incident analysis, incident handling, vulnerability management, log analysis, intrusion detection, or security device administration.\nGood interpersonal and communication skills.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExposure to security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, UEBA, DLP, endpoint protection, and antivirus solutions is an added advantage.\nFamiliarity with operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix.\nRelevant professional certifications such as GSEC, CCED, GCIA, GCIH, CEH, Security+, or other cybersecurity certifications will be an added advantage.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions.\nFresh graduates with a strong interest in cybersecurity and information security are encouraged to apply.\nWhat we offer\nAt RHB Banking Group, we foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where you can grow and perform at your best.
