Based out of our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE), the RDA Operations Support team consists of experienced and dedicated engineers, planners and project managers who provide specialised support to our Production teams across our assembly lines. Reporting into the Material Planning Lead, the Production Planner will ensure that the supply of materials to our production lines is suitable to meet the production schedule.
About the Role
As a Material Planner at Rheinmetall Defence Australia, you will play an important role in ensuring the supply of materials to our productions lines is suitable to maintain production continuity. The successful candidate could expect some of their daily tasking to include:
Scheduling the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements;
Take proactive action in relation to material shortages that affect production;
Utilise the Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) and ensure that data is accurate and up-to-date;
Collaborate effectively with Procurement colleagues to ensure correct prioritisation of purchasing requirements and to ensure purchase order cancellations are signalled; and
Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams for continuous improvement activities related to our stock management;
