While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different tasks be performed as assigned.\nDevelop and maintain Windows-based application programs within scheduled timelines.\nDesign and implement user-friendly graphical user interfaces (GUIs).\nCreate testing programs for calibration and production.\nDocument specifications and assist in developing user guides and manuals.\nCollaborate effectively with team members to deliver reliable, user-focused applications.\nWork independently on assigned projects, demonstrating strong self-motivation and accountability.\nContribute as a team player when needed, supporting collaboration and shared success.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nSenior-level engineers will additionally be expected to:\nLead application development efforts with minimal guidance.\nProvide technical direction and mentorship to junior team members.\nDrive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term product strategy.\nMinimum Qualifications (Mid-Level Software Engineer)\n3+ years of professional, hands-on Windows development experience (C# / .NET, C++).\nExperience developing WinForms and/or WPF/XAML applications; familiarity with MVVM design patterns.\nAbility to design intuitive and efficient Windows GUIs.\nWorking knowledge of database development (e.g., SQL Server, SQLite).\nFamiliarity with software testing techniques and tools (Unit Testing, Black Box Testing).\nExperience with source control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).\nExposure to communications and command-and-control technologies (Ethernet, RS232/RS485, USB, CAN).\nSolid understanding of core software development methodologies (Object-Oriented Programming, Agile Development, common design patterns).\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.\nMinimum Qualifications (Senior Software Engineer)\nIncludes all Mid-Level qualifications plus:\n5+ years of professional, hands-on Windows development experience (C# / .NET, C++).\n5+ years of significant experience with WinForms and WPF/XAML, including MVVM.\nProven ability to build test, calibration, and automation programs for prototypes and manufacturing.\nSignificant experience with communications and command-and-control technologies (Ethernet, RS232/RS485, USB, CAN).\nDemonstrated ability to independently lead application development from inception to completion.\nAbility to convey technical information clearly and confidently to diverse audiences.\nA strong results-driven mindset with a hands-on approach.\nPreferred Qualifications (Both Levels)\nMS or Ph.D. in Science, Engineering, or Computer Science.\nExperience developing software for test, measurement, or automation systems involving hardware interface and control.\nProficiency in web and HTML-based technologies (JavaScript, Angular 2, Node.js, REST API).\nExpertise in embedded development (RTOS and non-RTOS).\nFamiliarity with FDA/GMP standards and compliance processes.\nExperience with NI LabVIEW.\nCoursework or project experience in AI and machine learning.\nProficiency with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar tools.\nContributions to AI-related research, publications, or impactful projects.\nPhysical Requirements\nThese physical requirements are not exhaustive, and additional job-related physical requirements may be added to these on an as-needed basis.\nAbility to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer or participating in meetings.\nAbility to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.\nAbility to move within the office environment as needed to collaborate with team members or access equipment.\nAbility to occasionally lift, carry, or move equipment or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.\nWhat We Offer\nAt RheoSense, you can build an excellent job that grows into a meaningful and rewarding career.
