You will have the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements, support capital projects, and help shape the future of our manufacturing capabilities.\nThis role requires 50% travel to the plants it supports.\nWhat You’ll Do\nChampion process and personnel safety by supporting regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) excellence.\nReview, develop, update, and maintain manufacturing processes, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs).\nServe as a technical subject matter expert for plant processes, driving improvements in productivity, quality, reliability, and cost performance.\nLead process optimization initiatives to improve throughput, reduce variability, and enhance operational efficiency.\nAnalyze production and process data to identify trends, root causes, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization, then implement sustainable solutions.\nPartner with operations, maintenance, quality, R&D, technical marketing, and other stakeholders to support business objectives and customer requirements.\nSupport the implementation of new technologies, automation solutions, and digital tools that strengthen manufacturing performance.\nTrain and coach production personnel on process best practices, operational standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nIdentify and lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.\nEvaluate capital investment opportunities, develop business cases, and support project execution from concept through startup.\nParticipate in engineering projects, ensuring deliverables such as process documentation, specifications, risk assessments, commissioning plans, and startup support are completed successfully.\nDevelop, maintain, and support Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure safe and effective implementation of process modifications.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline preferred.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or continuous improvement within an industrial environment.\nExperience applying Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification preferred.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive process improvements and operational decisions.\nKnowledge of process optimization, root cause analysis, process control, and manufacturing best practices.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, quality, and continuous improvement.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive Salary\nComprehensive Benefits Package - Including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage.\n401(k) Retirement Plan - With company matching to help you plan for your future.\nPaid Time Off\nTraining & Development - Access to learning resources and career development programs.\nInclusive Work Environment - A culture that values diversity, safety, and collaboration.\nAbout RHI Magnesita\nRHI Magnesita is the leading global supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems and solutions which are critical for high-temperature processes in a wide range of industries.
