We’re dedicated to helping our team succeed by offering competitive compensation, flexible work schedules, and continuous support.\nResponsibilities\nMaintain a clean, safe environment for residents utilizing infection control principles. \nClean, disinfect, polish and dust residents’ rooms, offices and common areas including, but not limited to, rooms and equipment including: furniture, closets, windows, walls, floors, shower and tub rooms, washrooms, reception area, break rooms, etc. \nCleaning, sanitizing, and performing duties, including but not limited to: routine, deep, terminal and discharge cleaning, floor cleaning and maintenance, and waste management according to schedules. \nDust residents’ window ledges, door frames and closets. \nPerform daily/monthly cleaning of glass as needed. \nClean counter tops, tables and chairs as well as disinfect all soils and spills. \nVacuum all carpets as required. \nClean washrooms of the entire facility. \nClean, disinfect, and polish tubs, sinks, taps, toilets and mirrors. \nWash all floors with germicidal solution, clean grout on the floors regularly. \nDust and mop lounge areas daily; sweep and mop dining room floors after each meal. \nDo laundry for all the residents including personal clothing and linens. \nFollow up and take action on all reports of lost clothing. \nClean up staff lockers and volunteer and staff rest rooms. \nSweep and wash stairwells weekly. \nEmpty garbage to the janitor/soiled room; change plastic liners as needed. \nClean wheelchairs based on assigned schedule. \nFollow procedures for the cleaning and care of equipment. \nResponsible for the inventory and control of laundry supplies and products. \nCommunicate with the charge nurse regarding special care of linens or clothing. \nChecking that supplies are adequate in housekeeping and equipment is in proper working order before commencing daily routine. \nCarrying out duties in a positive and professional manner within a multidisciplinary team. \nDemonstrate commitment to Rhynocare’s mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care by upholding the values of discipline, integrity, collaboration, and empowerment. \nRequirements\nFamiliarity with common cleaning products and equipment \nAbility to read and understand instructions in English \nPhysical stamina to perform cleaning tasks \nSuccessful candidate must be available to workdays, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays \nPrevious experience working in housekeeping role in long term care facilities or with the elderly is an asset \nCompensation\nPay: $27 / Hour\nEqual Opportunity Employer Statement\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
