We offer competitive compensation, flexible scheduling options, and ongoing support so you can focus on what you do best - delivering exceptional care.\nResponsibilities\nObserve, document, and promptly report changes in residents' physical, emotional or cognitive status to the primary nurse to support ongoing assessment and care planning\nComplete all documentation on time, and in accordance with corporate policies, ensuring that it is both current and accurate.\nAssist resident with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, toileting, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence. \nAssist in the safe transfer, positioning, and mobility of residents using proper techniques and equipment, and in accordance with facility policies\nProvide care in accordance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 (S.O. 2021, c. 39, Sch. 1), best practices, corporate policies, and procedures.\nParticipate in agency risk management program related to resident care.\nParticipate in quality improvement program related to resident care.\nParticipate in new staff/student mentoring as assigned and promote educational opportunities to enhance their education.\nParticipate in departmental, Interdisciplinary Team and resident safety meetings.\nPromote good understanding and teamwork between shifts, registered and unregulated staff \nAdhere to all health and safety procedures, including:\nUse all equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.\nFollow established safety procedures for lock outs.\nWear proper safety equipment and PPE when necessary.\nDemonstrate commitment to Rhynocare’s mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care by upholding the values of discipline, integrity, collaboration, and empowerment.\nProvide care that is guided by innovation, respect, and a dedication to supporting healthier, more fulfilling lives for all individuals.\nRequirements\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nProficient verbal and written English communication skills.\nAbility to speak a second language is considered an asset.\nMust meet one of the following criteria:Successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) from a Community College or a school approved by the National Association of Career Colleges OR\nRN/RPN students with successful completion of Year 1\n\nExperience working as a Facility PSW is considered an asset.\nCompensation\nPay : $25-30/ hour (depending on experience and assignment) \nEqual Opportunity Employer Statement\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
