The Company focuses on improving patient care through the use of patient-friendly devices and mobile communications to diagnose and treat heart disease faster.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nWe are seeking an experienced Azure Database Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for database performance optimization, query tuning, and application data architecture, while working closely with software development teams to ensure scalable and reliable data solutions.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign, implement, maintain, and optimize databases hosted on Azure SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.\nDevelop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.\nAnalyze and improve database performance through index optimization, execution plan analysis, and query tuning.\nMonitor database health, capacity, availability, and security.\nCollaborate with software development teams to optimize data access patterns and application performance.\nReview and improve Entity Framework Core (EF Core) data access code, LINQ-to-Entities queries, and ORM implementations.\nParticipate in database design, schema changes, migrations, and deployment processes.\nTroubleshoot production issues related to data access, performance, and scalability.\nImplement and maintain data archival, backup, and recovery strategies.\nSupport cloud-based data solutions and contribute to data platform modernization initiatives.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n8-10 years of hands-on database administration and development experience.\nStrong experience with Azure SQL Database and/or Microsoft SQL Server.\nAdvanced knowledge of T-SQL development and performance tuning.\nProven experience with database indexing strategies, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.\nExperience working with Entity Framework Core (EF Core) and LINQ to Entities.\nSolid understanding of ORM concepts and data access optimization techniques.\nExperience troubleshooting and improving application and database performance in production environments.\nAble to work a hybrid schedule and commute to Headquarters on required weekdays.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience with Azure Storage, including Table Storage and/or Cosmos DB.\nExperience with Data Warehouse and/or Data Lake architecture.\nKnowledge of Data API Builder (DAB), Model Context Protocol (MCP), or modern SQL-based API solutions.\nExperience in healthcare, medical software, or regulated environments.\nFamiliarity with Azure cloud services, monitoring, and automation tools.\nTECHNICAL SKILLS:\n\nAzure SQL Database\nMicrosoft SQL Server\nT-SQL\nDatabase Performance Tuning\nIndex Analysis and Optimization\nQuery Execution Plans\nEntity Framework Core (EF Core)\nLINQ to Entities\nORM Design and Optimization\nAzure Storage (Table Storage, Cosmos DB)\nData Warehouse / Data Lake (Preferred)\nDAB / MCP for SQL (Preferred)\nBENEFITS:\nCompetitive salary and bonus structure\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\nRetirement savings plan - 401(k) - with company match\nPaid time off (PTO) and holidays\nProfessional development and training opportunities\nEmployee wellness programs\nRMX Monitoring, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
