a trusted advisor to customers by helping them identify the right products and solutions for their projects.\nBuild strong relationships through inbound and outbound customer interactions via phone, email, and in person.\nPrepare quotes, process orders, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.\nCollaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to support customer accounts and identify sales opportunities.\nEducate customers on products, promotions, and industry trends.\nResolve customer concerns and coordinate solutions across branch departments.\nMaintain accurate customer records and process payments as needed.\nAssist with warehouse operations during periods of high demand or limited staffing.\nInventory Management\nPerform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.\nConduct reviews of inventory turns, dead stock, and excess material.\nIdentify inventory discrepancies and work with branch leadership to resolve them.\nSupport annual physical inventory activities.\nMonitor inventory levels and proactively identify replenishment needs.\nPurchasing & Stock Replenishment\nExecute inventory purchasing and Suggested Purchase Orders (SPOs).\nReview inventory reports and purchasing recommendations to ensure product availability.\nSource materials through vendors and other Richards Building Supply locations when necessary.\nMonitor shared purchase orders and material transfers to ensure timely fulfillment.\nPartner with Purchasing and branch leadership to address inventory gaps and shortages.\nReceiving & Transfers\nEnsure all purchase orders are accurately and timely received in the system.\nScan and maintain receiving documentation.\nInvestigate receiving discrepancies, damaged materials, and vendor issues.\nReview open purchase orders and transfers to ensure timely closure.\nCoordinate branch transfers and communicate with warehouse personnel regarding shipment status.\nAccounts Payable & Reconciliation\nReview invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation through company systems.\nVerify vendor invoices against purchase orders and receiving records.\nResearch and resolve invoice and purchasing discrepancies.\nComplete regular AP reconciliation activities.\nMaintain organized documentation and compliance with company procedures.\nSupport month-end reporting and audit requests as needed.\nRequirements:\n2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, distribution, inventory control, purchasing, or a related field.\n\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced branch environment.\n\nComfortable working within ERP, inventory management, and document management systems.\n\nStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.\n\nEffective communication skills and a customer-first mindset.\n\nExperience with purchasing, inventory management, receiving, or accounts payable is preferred.\n\nBuilding materials, distribution, or wholesale industry experience is a plus.\n\nSpanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.\n\nSuccess in This Role Looks Like:\nDelivering an outstanding customer experience
