We are seeking an experienced and senior SAP ECC/MM and Ariba consultant to take over the go-live of the Buying and Guided Buying module, design and implement areas to come.\nThe candidate will bridge business needs and product capabilities.\nThe candidate must be able to analyze processes, captures requirements, design functional specifications, and configure standard rules within the product’s solutions (SAP, SaaS, rules engines).\nAs a Senior Solution Engineer, you must ensure that business problems are framed correctly and that product changes remain coherent, scalable, and aligned with product guardrails\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nBusiness analysis & requirements\nAnalyze business processes end-to-end.\n\nTranslate business needs into functional requirements.\n\nDocument user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases.\n\nChallenge requests to match product strategy and standards.\n\nFunctional configuration\nConfigure rules, master data and functional settings within SAP, SaaS or workflow tools.\n\nValidate configuration through testing & scenarios.\n\nEnsure configuration adheres to product constraints and guardrails.\n\nCollaboration with Product Owners\nSupport prioritization and backlog refinement.\n\nProvide process insights and impact analysis.\n\nValidate feasibility with technical teams and SMEs.\n\nTesting & quality\nPrepare test cases and validation steps.\n\nSupport UAT with business users.\n\nContinuous improvement\nSuggest optimizations to processes and user experience.\n\nDocument functional knowledge and contribute to playbooks.\n\nSecurity & scalability\nEnsure API governance (auth, quotas, throttling, versioning).\n\nEnsure integrations are scalable and future-proof.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nExperience\nExperience with Full Lifecycle Implementations.\n\nDemonstrated experience in leading and executing multiple end-to-end SAP ECC/MM module and Ariba Buying implementations.\n\n5 to 10 years of proficiency in configuring all aspects of the SAP ECC/MM module.\n\nKnowledge in configuring Ariba Buying module, including catalog management, requisitioning, approvals, order management, and invoicing. (2 - 5 years).\n\nExperience in customizing SAP ECC/MM and Ariba to meet specific business requirements.\n\nExpertise with Ariba administration/maintenance and SAP ECC/MM backend integration (ARIBA CIG).\n\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Knowledge of SAP ECC/MM backend procurement processes and configuration (SAP MM module).\n\nKnowledge about SAP ABAP debugging. (mandatory)\n\nKnowledge about SAP ARIBA Buying and Guided Buying module, including PR/PO validation, Workflow, procurement policies and catalog management.\n\nknowledge of specific configuration (non standard) in SAP ARIBA (guided) BUYING (UX customization, process logic customization, field mapping customization)\n\nKnowledge of ARIBA Buying integration with the SAP Business network\n\nKnowledge of integration technologies (e.g. CIG, cXML, APIs).\n\nFamiliarity with SAP ECC/MM backend finance integration with procurement flows\n\nFamiliarity with SAP Solution Manager for managing and monitoring SAP ECC/MM landscapes, including system configuration and changes\n\nKnowledge and experience on Agile methodology is a real plus.\n\nFunctional skills\nStrong analytical and problem-framing abilities.\n\nProject Facilitation:\nProven ability to lead and facilitate design workshops and requirements gathering sessions.\n\nExperience in documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.\n\nExperience in configuring SAP ARIBA Buying based on functional specification.\n\nExperience in developing and executing test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
