You will have the opportunity to influence how quality is engineered across our products, contribute to the evolution of our AI-supported automation capabilities, and help shape the future of our quality engineering practices. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, exploring new technologies, and continuously developing their skills in a collaborative environment.\nWhat you will be doing\nCollaborating within a cross-functional agile team to deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions.\nAnalysing requirements and acceptance criteria to design effective automated test coverage.\nSpecifying automated test cases and reviewing test approaches with manual testers and other quality engineering professionals.\nDeveloping and maintaining automated tests using Playwright, JavaScript, and TypeScript.\nInvestigating test failures, identifying root causes, and improving the reliability and maintainability of our automation assets.\nPerforming peer reviews and contributing to engineering standards and best practices for automated testing.\nWorking with fellow Test Automation Engineers to continuously enhance our AI-supported test automation framework.\nIdentifying opportunities to improve test automation coverage, efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.\nEvaluating new automation techniques, tools, and AI-assisted approaches to improve the effectiveness of quality engineering activities.\nCollaborating with build and platform engineers to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.\nContributing ideas and initiatives that improve product quality, engineering productivity, and team effectiveness.\nParticipating in retrospectives and continuous improvement activities, helping shape the future direction of our automation capability.\nYou will ideally have\nIdeally educated to at least degree level or equivalent professional qualification, with preference given to studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field\nPrevious experience within test automation including experience developing automated tests using JavaScript and TypeScript.\nProven background and experience with Playwright or a comparable modern test automation framework.\nAny experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies would be a distinct advantage.\nUnderstanding of agile software development practices and CI/CD environments.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for improving quality through automation.\nFluency to a professional English, both written and spoken is essential for this role, with any other language skills and advantage.\nISTQB CTFL certification is desirable.\nISTQB CTAL Test Automation Engineer certification would be an advantage.\nNatural ability to problem solve and explore new technologies.\nIn return for your commitment, you can expect\nAt Ricoh, work should feel meaningful, supportive and fulfilling.
