Working as part of a multi-disciplinary Sustaining Engineering team, you will closely align with an internal customer group.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and test electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical sub-systems and components to meet project needs.\nWrite detailed design specifications and develop test plans for evaluating electrical components and sub-systems, including motors, transformers, contactors, drives, relays, switches, heaters, and sensors.\nDevelop drawings for electrical components and systems, including schematics and wiring diagrams using tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, and PADS.\nSet up and describe test specifications for electrical and electronic controls.\nCollaborate with suppliers and in-house colleagues on the development of sub-systems and components.\nUnderstand and design sub-systems and components to meet marketing specifications and regulatory standards, considering the full system design.\nProvide support to production as needed, working on Quality Improvements (QI) and Continuous Improvements (CI), and participating in problem-solving activities.\nSpecify new components for designs, develop, design, and implement them into production.\nSpecify new microcontrollers for new designs and develop necessary tools around these devices.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.\n5 to 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.\nMotor drive experience is preferred.\nSkills and Abilities:\nApply principles of logical and scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nSolid knowledge of engineering design software and equipment.\nExperience with software programs in assembly, C, or higher level for microcontroller-based electronic controls.\nAbility to write technical reports and complete documentation within required timeframes.\nDemonstrate the ability to function calmly in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.\nDetail-oriented while still connected to larger project goals/outcomes.\nOutstanding communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.\nSelf-motivated with a willingness to be hands-on and dig into
