Revenue has grown more than tenfold since the start of 2025 with a team of about 50, and the company was recently ranked the top place to work in the Bay Area by a major business publication.\nTheir 2026 goal is a full CX platform where AI workers act as frontline agents, QA analysts and managers, improving every customer interaction rather than waiting for a human to retune them.\nAbout the role\nThe company is building procurement from scratch and looking for the person to own it as the company scales. This is a high-ownership seat for someone commercially sharp, analytical, and comfortable building where no structure exists yet. The person here owns vendor selection, sourcing, negotiation, contracting and ongoing vendor management across the whole company.\nThe role works closely with Finance, Legal, Engineering, IT, HR and leadership to make sure the company gets real value from every major vendor, and to build a procurement function that holds up as the company grows.\nKey responsibilities\nOwn procurement company-wide, from sourcing through contracting and renewals\nLead vendor selection, evaluation and negotiation\nManage strategic software, infrastructure and other company spend\nIdentify cost savings and vendor consolidation opportunities\nBuild procurement processes, policies and approval workflows from scratch\nPartner with Finance and Legal on contracts, budgets and vendor risk\nTrack company spend and improve visibility into vendor costs\nBuild strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms\nUse automation and AI to make procurement faster\nGrow the procurement function as the company scales\nWhat they are looking for\n5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing or purchasing\nStrong vendor and contract negotiation experience\nHas owned meaningful company spend, over $25M\nExperience at a fast-growing technology company or startup\nSaaS, software or technical procurement experience\nHighly analytical and comfortable in spend data\nCan operate independently without much existing structure\nHas built procurement processes or functions from scratch\nMoves quickly and avoids unnecessary bureaucracy\nStrong communicator who can work across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Engineering, IT and HR\nAn IC builder mindset matters here.
