This role will help us continue building world-class, data-driven products to solve some of the most challenging problems in the maritime industry by maintaining and improving quality across critical data sets.\nThis role requires an individual who is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing high-level software architecture decisions to ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of systems. They serve as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, guiding teams through design and development best practices.\nMajor Responsibilities \nArchitectural Design: Define and document software architecture aligned with business goals, scalability needs, and technical standards.\nTechnology Strategy: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for long-term system success.\nCollaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.\nCode and System Reviews: Oversee code quality and architecture compliance through peer reviews, technical audits, and mentoring.\nPerformance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize system performance.\nSecurity & Compliance: Integrate security standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.\nDocumentation: Maintain detailed architecture documentation, design patterns, and guidelines.\nMentorship: Support and mentor software engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within teams.\nQualifications, Skills & Experience \nEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience: 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in an architectural or senior technical leadership role.\n Technical Expertise:Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., .NET, Python, TypeScript).\nExperience with frameworks such as Angular / Aurelia / React\nExperience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) beyond basic code completion\nUnderstanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines\nExperience working with AI models and frameworks such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Meta Llama, Mistral, or Gemini.\nDeep understanding of software design patterns\nFamiliarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture principles\nProficiency in event sourcing and CQRS for scalable, decoupled systems\nHands-on experience with event-based architectures and messaging platforms such as:Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, Event Grid\nKafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS\n\nUnderstanding of event choreography vs orchestration patterns\nStrong experience in Azure cloud architecture - especially AKS, Functions, App Services, Storage, and Application Insights\nKnowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and Azure AD B2C\nUnderstanding of data privacy and secure coding standards (ex.
