This role involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP, and contributing to the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. With opportunities for career growth, you’ll play a key role in optimizing our financial operations in a fast-paced, innovative and entrepreneurial work environment. \nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nLead daily accounting operations including payables, customer billing, cash transactions, payroll processing, and responding to inquiries\nPrepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes\nReconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies\nProcess multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring compliance with applicable tax and labor regulations\nAssist in preparing financial statements and management reporting\nContribute to audit preparations, both internal and external, by providing required documentation\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support company-wide initiatives and projects\nAssist in preparation of sales and use tax filings/software (Avalara or Sovos)\nAbility to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment and can adapt to new and unique accounting requirements\nWHO YOU ARE: \nBachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required \n2+ years of general accounting experience, with a proven track record of excelling and getting promoted\nExperience within a fast paced startup and/or the healthcare technology industry, Pharmacy Benefit Management space, or Big4 public accounting is a plus\nStrong working knowledge of and experience in financial reporting, month end closing, and audit support\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving\nCommitment to providing a quality internal service with high levels of satisfaction\nCPA certification or progress toward obtaining it is a plus\nCOMPENSATION: $65,000 - $90,000 annually, in addition to bonus and equity\nCompensation offered will be determined by geographic location, experience, and qualifications.\nCYBERSECURITY AWARENESS NOTICE\nIn response to ongoing and industry-wide fraudulent recruitment activities (i.e., job scams), Rightway wants to inform potential candidates that we will only contact them from the @rightwayhealthcare.com email domain.
