Working across the Vehicle Technology and Engineering teams, you will define, document and safeguard functional safety requirements, ensuring every vehicle domain satisfies type-approval and perform on track and road.\nWhere you’ll make an impact\nReport on methodology and process, keeping the Program informed of technical status across the function.\nAlign the operational team to program deliverables and timing.\nTroubleshoot functional safety issues within the function, both pre- and post-SOP.\nComply with company and HR policies and processes.\nMentor junior employees.\nIdentify the best solutions to ensure compliance with all regulatory and type-approval requirements.\nOwn the definition of all documentation for Functional Safety.\nIdentify and anticipate major regulatory changes, informing the Head and Managers to safeguard compliance with those requirements.\nSupport on vehicle and other facilities if needed.\nWhat are your core components\nPrevious experience in a similar role within an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier, preferably within premier Motorsports categories or within a low volume Supercar/Hypercar production.\nDemonstrated technical background in Electronics, Systems, EE or Software, with a focus on Functional Safety.\nWorking knowledge of ISO 26262 and automotive regulatory / type-approval processes.\nExcellent team player and communicator, able to work with and motivate cross-functional teams.\nAbility to organise multiple technical inputs and present clearly to the Program and function Head.\nStrong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.\nAble to manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.\nNice to have ones\nPrevious experience leading a relevant project or workstream.\nMaster's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Systems Engineering or a related field.\nFamiliarity with functional safety analysis methods such as FMEA, FTA or HARA.\nExperience engaging directly with regulatory or type-approval bodies.\nAt least 2 years' experience in the automotive or motorsport industry, ideally with both an OEM and a Tier 1 supplier, having completed at least one full program cycle.\nFluent in English,
