We engineer the hardware, software, and intelligence that improve efficiency, usable energy, and lifetime.\nOur edge is deep integration - power conversion built into the battery module itself, with batteries, power electronics, software, and thermal management engineered as one system, European-designed and built. We are fast-moving, technically ambitious, and results-driven, and you will work on genuinely complex problems alongside people who care deeply about what they build.\nWe expect a lot, and we offer a lot: real ownership, real products, and the chance to contribute to technology that pushes the boundaries of what energy systems can do.\nAbout the Role\nWe are creating a new OEM product line from a blank sheet, built around proven technology we already own - and we are hiring one person to build it: the delivery model, the partner ecosystem and the product launch itself. Day one, it is a strategic programme reporting to the Head of Programme Management & Supply Chain. The intent is that it becomes a business unit, and the person who builds it is positioned to lead it.\nWe have developed our own utility-scale power conversion system (PCS). It is our core IP, in design validation now, with full product certification expected within six to eight months. That technology is already commercial: it sits under a signed supply agreement with an established global energy storage player, with the first order and payment received and start of production targeted for 2027. We also own the battery management system and its associated software.\nWhat we are building now is a complete battery energy storage system, designed around our own PCS and sold under our own name, delivered through an asset-light operating model: battery modules from a tier-one module partner under a long-term supply agreement; manufacturing through a contract manufacturer - we free-issue our PCS, modules ship direct from the partner, and the CM owns the balance-of-system supply chain (enclosure, HVAC, fire suppression, ancillaries) plus integration and end-of-line test; and an energy management system from a partner open to integrating our in-house algorithms and software.\nToday there are no partners signed. A part-time team holds a starting-point product specification and initial market canvassing is complete - we are effectively pre-RFI.\nThe decisions made in this role will shape the company's product portfolio and lay the foundation of a scalable OEM business.\nThis role is based at our Witney, Oxfordshire site, with hybrid working by agreement and regular international travel.\nResponsibilities\nOwn the programme end to end, from product definition through to the first production units, on roughly a two-year horizon\nLead partner identification and selection across battery modules, contract manufacturing and EMS - market scanning, RFI, RFQ, technical and commercial evaluation, supplier audits and down-selection\nLead contract negotiation, working with legal and finance - module supply agreements (pricing and raw-material indexation, capacity reservation, warranties and performance guarantees), the CM manufacturing services agreement (NRE and tooling, quality agreement, liability and logistics) and the EMS partnership\nCoordinate product integration across mechanical, electrical, thermal, safety, controls and serviceability, and establish change control across design authority, module partner, EMS partner and CM\nOwn the certification roadmap for the integrated product (for example UL 9540 and 9540A, UL 1741 SB / IEEE 1547, IEC 62619 and 62933, NFPA 855, CE/UKCA, as target markets dictate), building on the PCS's own certifications\nDrive industrialisation - design transfer, prototype and pilot builds, process validation, PPAP-style qualification, ramp readiness and first deployments\nBuild the business case, governance and executive reporting, and hire and shape the initial team as the programme matures into a business unit \nRequirements\n10+ years of programme or NPI leadership in energy storage, power electronics, automotive/EV or comparable complex electro-mechanical hardware\nAt least one physical product taken from concept to start of production, including significant supplier-manufactured content\nPersonally led supplier selection from RFI through to award, and negotiated substantial supply or manufacturing agreements\nExperience working with or at contract manufacturers, or managing outsourced manufacturing\nStrong commercial and cost literacy - should-cost, total cost of ownership, tooling and NRE, pricing mechanisms\nProduct certification or homologation exposure, and the design-freeze discipline it demands\nThe ability to thrive in ambiguity - building structure, governance and teams from nothing, while staying credible in front of executives and partners\nAn engineering degree or equivalent\nWillingness to travel internationally approx. 30-40% of the time, including to supplier sites in Europe and Asia \nConsidered as an Advantage\nBESS or stationary storage domain knowledge - modules and packs, thermal management, fire safety, UL 9540/9540A, NFPA 855, IEC 62619/62933, grid interconnection standards\nBattery supply market fluency - the LFP landscape, raw-material indexation, capacity dynamics and supplier bankability\nTrade and regulatory awareness relevant to target markets - tariffs, IRA §45X, FEOC screening\nStart-up or scale-up experience; an advanced degree in systems engineering or business\nAdditional languages relevant to a global supply base \nWhat we are like and what we offer\nFast-paced environment where practical problem-solving and initiative are genuinely valued\nContinuous learning and development, with exposure to rapidly evolving energy and power electronics technology\nA friendly, ambitious team that works hard and takes pride in what it builds\nEducational budget - at Rimac Energy, we believe in the importance of continuous learning. We provide an educational budget to support your growth, and we actively encourage you to expand your knowledge and skills.\n26 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays\n5 days of paid marriage leave\n10 days of fully paid sick leave\n4 months of paid maternity leave and 2 weeks of paternity leave\nCompany pension scheme with auto-enrolment\nAXA & Medicash private medical insurance for you and your immediate family\nService awards to recognise loyalty\nRemote working day by agreement\nPet-friendly workplace - our Pawject Managers are always welcome\nRelaxation zones and daily fresh fruit in the office","description_format":"text","description_chars":6679,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Annual leave","Continuous learning","Health insurance","Hybrid work"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United Kingdom","iso":"GB","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Science & Engineering"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-11T18:22:40Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":76,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.843,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":27,"expected_fill_days":44,"reasons":["conf:3","win:mid","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-12T06:55:09Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/rimac-technology-senior-programme-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/rimac-technology-senior-programme-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-13T03:49:06Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":6123,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-14T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":55746},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=55746"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Frimac-technology-senior-programme-manager"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Frimac-technology-senior-programme-manager"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Frimac-technology-senior-programme-manager"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/rimac-technology-senior-programme-manager\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Frimac-technology-senior-programme-manager"}]}
