In this role, you will support the development and management of a high-performing supply base, ensuring supplier quality systems, manufacturing processes, and incoming materials meet company and customer requirements. You will lead supplier quality activities including qualification, auditing, performance evaluation, corrective actions, risk management, and continuous improvement to enhance product reliability, supply chain performance, and manufacturing excellence.\nAs a key member of the Quality team, you will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrialisation, Project Management and our EMS partners to build robust quality processes, resolve issues efficiently, and support the successful ramp-up of our energy storage products.\nThis position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to products that deliver measurable social and environmental impact.\nThis role is based at our Witney, Oxfordshire site, with hybrid working by agreement and regular international travel.\nJob Responsibilities\nSpecific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nProvide Supplier Quality Engineering support across Rimac Energy, acting as the key quality interface between Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrialisation, suppliers, and the EMS partner.\nDrive supplier quality performance through monitoring, data analysis, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nLead containment, investigation, and resolution of supplier-related non-conformances, ensuring timely root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.\nConduct and support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities for new components, engineering changes, supplier transfers, and production ramp-up activities.\nReview and approve supplier quality documentation including PPAP submissions, control plans, PFMEAs, inspection standards, and manufacturing process documentation.\nSupport supplier qualification, onboarding, and requalification activities, including process audits and capability assessments.\nPerform supplier audits and on-site assessments to verify compliance with quality requirements, manufacturing controls, and industry best practices.\nCollaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, reduce defects, enhance process capability, and improve overall product quality.\nDevelop and maintain incoming inspection strategies, sampling plans, and supplier quality control methods based on risk and performance.\nMonitor supplier corrective actions, verify implementation effectiveness, and ensure sustainable closure of quality issues.\nSupport APQP activities and manufacturing readiness reviews to ensure robust product and process introduction.\nMaintain supplier quality metrics and KPIs, providing regular performance reporting and recommending improvement actions where required.\nSupport issue management processes, ensuring accurate documentation, prioritisation, and tracking of supplier quality concerns.\nParticipate in design, drawing, and change reviews, providing quality, manufacturability, supplier capability, and inspection expertise.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement preventive measures, and drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.\nSupport customer, certification, and regulatory audits as required.\nInternational travel required.\nRequirements\n3+ years' experience working within a Supplier Quality role or Quality Eng.\nDegree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).\nExperience in a fast-paced development environment (automotive, industrial, energy storage, electronics manufacturing).\nExperience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or quality engineering within an industrial or technology-based environment.\nKnowledge of quality management systems, supplier development, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and supplier performance management.\nAbility to work collaboratively with suppliers, EMS partners, and cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and operational excellence.\nExperience working with EMS providers and contract manufacturers, including qualification, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and manufacturing readiness activities.\nConsidered as an Advantage\nStart-up or scale-up experience\nMS Project & JIRA experience\nExperience with ERP systems\nFamiliarity with ECAD (e.g., Altium), MCAD (e.g., 3DX), and BOM management processes.\nWhat we are like and what we offer\nFast-paced environment where practical problem-solving and initiative are genuinely valued\nContinuous learning and development, with exposure to rapidly evolving energy and power electronics technology\nA friendly, ambitious team that works hard and takes pride in what it builds\nEducational budget - at Rimac Energy, we believe in the importance of continuous learning.
